Bring water for your dogs
The water in the dog park has been shut off for the winter. This means you will need to bring water with you to the dog park until the spring. Please don't forget. Dogs need water even with these cool temperatures.
Renew your membership
IT'S TIME TO RENEW YOUR DOG PARK MEMBERSHIPS! The 2006 tags are now available and will be required after January 31, 2006 - NO EXCEPTIONS!! The gate code will be changed and you will receive the new code only if you've registered for 2006. Please renew your memberships ASAP. Click here to see the attached flier for more details .
- 2006 Tags are available at City Hall in U. City, 6801 Delmar between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
- Prices will remain the same for 2006: $20 for U. City residents ($2 for second dog) and $80 for non-residents ($25 for each additional dog). The fee is for an annual membership that will expire 12/31/06.
- You must show written proof that your dog's rabies shot is current and U. City residents must also show proof of residency (license, utility bill, occupancy permit, etc.). These requirements apply if you get the tag at City Hall or during one of our special tag days at the dog park or annual meeting.

University City rules and regulations
- Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damages caused by them.
- Dog feces must be cleaned up by owners*.
- All dogs must be on-leash until inside the fenced area.
- Dog owners must carry a leash at all times, closely supervise their dogs and at no time may the owner leave the fenced area without his/her dog(s).
- Gates must be kept closed except when entering or exiting.
- Dogs must wear current University City dog play area license tags and have up-to- date rabies vaccination tags.
- Dogs must be under voice control at all times.
- Owners must fill any holes their dog digs.
- Remove pinch, spike and choke collars prior to entering the fenced area.
- No children under ten years of age allowed; older children must be under strict adult supervision.
The following are not allowed in the fenced area:
- American Pit Bulls (U. City Ord. 6.08.110)
- Staffordshire terriers (U. City Ord. 6.08.110)
- Bull terriers (U. City Ord. 6.08.110)
- Mixed breeds that include pit bull, Staffordshire terrier, or bull terrier (U. City Ord. 6.08.110)
- Dogs in heat
- Aggressive dogs
- Dogs that are ill or injured
- Puppies under 4 months of age
- Animals other than dogs
- Alcoholic beverages, food, treats, rawhide or glass
- Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or blades or any motorized devices (except wheelchairs)
* The word owner applies to the adult person accompanying the dog(s).
All persons who fail to comply with these rules will be in violation of University City Ordinance No. 6397.
All rules to be enforced by U. City D.O.G.S. members and University City by order of Frank Ollendorff, City Manager.
