  • Residents–$25 for one dog, $5 for each additional dog
  • Non-residents–$50 for one dog, $10 for each additional dog
  • No day passes available

Shaw Dog Park rules and regulations

  • No vicious dogs allowed. All fights between dogs must be attended to by owners of the dogs
  • Children under 12 not allowed in fenced area, and children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18.
  • Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damage caused by them.
  • Dogs must have proof of rabies vaccination, or approved titers, from a veterinarian.
  • Pick up your dog's poop!
  • Leash laws apply outside the fenced area.
  • Owners must be inside the fence area at all times while their dogs are at play. No dog is to be left at the dog park unattended - no exceptions!
  • Gates must be closed except when entering/exiting.
  • Dogs must wear membership tag on their collars.
  • Absolutely NO choke, pinch or spike collars allowed. Dogs must wear a smooth cloth band or leather collar while in dog play area.
  • Dogs to be under reasonable voice control.
  • Limit 3 dogs per person.
  • Do not leave any cigarette butts or trash at the dog park.
Not allowed in the play area:
  • dogs in heat
  • vicious dogs
  • animals other than dogs
  • glass of any sort
  • puppies under 4 months old
  • dogs that are ill or injured
  • food or treats for people or dogs
  • bikes, roller blades, scooters, or other motorized devices

Directions

Traveling on I-64 EAST, take exit 34C towards HAMPTON AVE SOUTH. Go about a quarter mile. Continue on HAMPTON AVE. Turn left to take I-44 EAST. Get off at exit 287B towards VANDEVENTER. Turn right on KLEMM ST. Turn left on CLEVELAND AVE. The Shaw Dog Park is located on the north-west corner of Thurman and Cleveland Avenues.
