On Saturday, October 22, from 12 noon to 3 P.M., Florissant Dog Park Association will celebrated the grand opening of their first dog park. All supporters and friends are invited.

Cost of annual membership

  • Resident - $30 for first dog, $5 each additional dog, limit of three dogs per handler.
  • Non-Resident - $80 for first dog, $20 each additional dog, limit of three dogs per handler.
  • No day passes available

Florissant Dog Park Rules and Regulations

  • Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damages caused by their dogs.
  • Dog feces (and/or dog waste) must be cleaned up by Owners.
  • All dogs must be on-leash until inside the fenced area.
  • Dog owners must carry a leash at all times, closely supervise their dogs and at no time may the owner leave the fenced area without his/her dog(s).
  • Gates must be kept closed except when entering or exiting the off-leash area, (i.e. Dog Park) .
  • Dogs must wear current Florissant Dog Park Club Tag and up-to-date rabies vaccination tags.
  • Dogs must be under voice control at all times.
  • Owners must stop dog from digging and must fill any holes cause by their dogs.
  • Remove pinch, spike and choke collars prior to entering the fenced off-leash area.
  • No children under ten (10) years of age allowed; older children must be under strict adult supervision.
  • The dog park may be periodically closed for Police canine training
  • Police K-9 equipment may be used by members of the Dog Park, with prior consent from K-9 officers. K-9 equipment not to be used by Dog Park members will be secured by K-9 officers.
  • Professional trainers may not use the park for conduct of their business.

The following are not allowed in the fenced area:

  • Dogs in heat
  • Bull Terrier (Pit Bull) or Bull Terrier (Pit Bull) Mixed Breeds
  • Aggressive dogs
  • Dogs that are ill or injured
  • Puppies under six (6) months of age
  • Animals other than dogs
  • Alcoholic beverages, food, dog treats, rawhide or glass containers
  • Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or blades, or any motorized devices, except wheelchairs

All persons who fail to comply with these rules will be in violation of Florissant City Ordinance No. 7188.

All rules to be enforced by Florissant Dog Park members and City of Florissant by order of Robert G. Lowery, Sr, Mayor.

Directions

Located in Duchesne Park, which is behind Manion Park. Manion Park is approximately one mile north of I-270 on the west side of Graham Road.

  • Follow Interstate 270 and exit at Hanley Rd./Graham Rd. Exit toward Graham Rd.
  • Go north on Graham Rd to Manion Park Rd.
  • Turn west on Manion Park Rd and follow it to where it becomes Brower Lane. Continue to follow Brower Lane to the entrance to Duchesne Park.
  • Follow the signs to the dog park.
